Our new banners are up!
Our new Merchant Sponsored Banners for 2010 are up and displayed along our Avenue.
One of the BID’s new initiaves for 2010 was a “Sponsor a Banner Program” for our district. We are happy with the overwhelming response of 6 merchant sponsors for a total of 30 new banners. This new intitiative got under way as a means to showcase our district merchants. The banners and our merchant’s logo will be visible to pedestrians and over 25,000 passing vehicles per day. The banners stand 9 feet tall along our city lamp posts. These poly vinyl banners were printed, produced and installed by Five Boro Flag, Banner and Sign Inc. of of Queens Village, New York. www.allstargraphics.com. Five Boro is responsible for the giant banners that hang in front of the Museum of Natural History. The BID’s banners will be adorned along our streets for approximately 5-6 months. When the banners are taken down, the BID donates them to First World Trash who handmake products almost entirely from recycled materials, such as banners and billboard materials. Our previous banners have been turned into durable urban totes, messenger bags and laptop sleeves. You can visit First World Trash by going to www.FirstWorldTrash.com and see the many products they have to offer.
If you or your business would like to participate in our next set of Sponsored Banners, please give the BID a call at 718-783-1685 or email us at info@nfbid.com. We will be happy to send out a MediaKit for you. And remember, we are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization so your sponsorship is tax deductible.
