MERCHANTS FROM OUR DISTRICT WERE PRESENTED WITH A CITY CITATION FROM BROOKLYN BOROUGH PRESIDENT MARTY MARKOWITZ

These are but a few of the merchants in our district who were honored in the BID’s new 2011 “Celebrating our Merchants” calendar on December 15th.

Each merchant received a Citation from Councilwoman Letitia James office, a letter of recognition from Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s office and a Citation from Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke’s office.  A City Citation was presented to the 12 merchants from Borough President Marty Markowitz.

The 12 merchants were chosen for their longevity on the avenue (did you know that Park Slope Optical has been here for almost 28 years!), women owned, minority owned and for their contribution to our community.  Watch our Brooklyn12News report in our Video Gallery.
