Another Banner Winner!

AND THE WINNER IS……

Tia Johnson, from Staten Island.  Tia once lived in Brooklyn with her husband and raised her children in Prospect Heights.  She is also a graduate of Pratt Institute and continues her education in graphic design while spending time with her beautiful grandchildren. Tia will be awarded with a check for $500 for her wfirst place winning design.    

The North Flatbush Avenue Avenue BID sent out an RFP to graphic designers for the submission of a design for our new 2010 banners.  While we received many submissions, the one that stood out the most was the Tia’s design.  We had 2 runner ups, and the decision was hard for our board members.  But the unanimous vote won and this banner will be highlighted on 30 of four light poles this year.

You may see some familiar merchants on the bottom 10% of these banners who have generously sponsored them near their storefront. 

Each year, we send out an RFP inviting the pubic and graphic designers to submission a design.  This RFP is usually seen on our website, Facebook page or advertised on Craigslist in Septmember and October.  Everyone is invited to view a copy of the RFP and we will once again post it for 2012. Submissions can be sent to our offices during the 2011 year.
