Our new banners for 2012

2012 North Flatbush Avenue Avenue Banner

And the winner is….

In September 2010, we invited the public to submit a banner design for our district, using the color scheme of our new logo.  During the next several months, we received 100’s of submissions.  It was difficult for us to make a decision.  We finally narrowed the selection down to 3 designs and our Board of Directors voted to include this banner on our 30 light poles.

All 30 poles have been sponsored by some of our merchants and we are happy to provide an additional source of  for our businesses along North Flatbush Avenue Avenue.

We expect the new banners to go up in mid January and will hang throughout the year until the next seasonal holiday banners are hung in mid November. 

  Congratulations to Tia Johnson for her design.   Tia originally hails from Brooklyn and raised her children in our Park Slope neighborhood. Tia graduated from The Pratt Insititute School of Design with a degree in graphic art and design.     This is Tia’s 3rd win for the North Flatbush Avenue Avenue BID.
