A Message from the Mayor – HAITI RELIEF FUND

Dear New Yorker:
I am sure you have seen the news of the terrible suffering in Haiti. While the full toll of the devastation isn’t known yet, one thing is clear — the people of Haiti need our support. Many people have asked how they can help. With critical infrastructure still severely damaged, and reports of a bottleneck of food and supplies, we have been advised not to send goods. Right now the most pressing need is financial help.
To provide a secure vehicle for donations, the City established the Haiti Relief Fund at the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City. The Mayor’s Fund will ensure 100% of contributions are directed to reputable organizations that are providing relief in Haiti, such as the Red Cross, Doctors Without Borders, and UNICEF.
