National Night Out Against Crime
WHAT IS NATIONAL NIGHT OUT AGAINST CRIME?
The 28th Annual National Night Out Against Crime is a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and is scheduled each year on August 2.
Last years national Night Out campaign involve citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, community organizations and elected officials from over 15,000 communities from all 50 states. In all, over 37 million people participated in national Night Out in 2010.
National Night Out is Designed to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
- Generate support for and participation in local anti crime programs
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnership and \
- Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 2, 2011 AT GRAND ARMY PLAZA FROM 6:30 PM TO 9:30PM
There will be plenty of fun and games for the children, Free t-shirts and hats, meet and greet with the members of the 78th pct, meet and greet with your elected officials. There will be food and beverages.
